Postings were few, very basic, and very repetitive. I've found this to be true of AOL in general. It seems to attract a certain....um... type of user who is...'unsophisticated...' This holds true for the SCUBA & ham radio sections of AOL, at least... Now having said that, I haven't bothered to check into the SCUBA section of AOL in several months, just because I thought it was a waste of time, things might have improved, & you can always take AOL up on its 10 hour free trial. The SCUBA forums on Compu$erve & GEnie are much better than AOL, in terms of quantity & quality. GEnie's SCUBA RT doesn't really get into tech diving discussions. I've just started to get into Compu$erve's SCUBA section, but at first glance it seems to have some technical diving discussions.
