   My personal opinion is that AOL's SCUBA forum is pretty poor, for
recreational, let alone tech divers.

	Postings were few, very basic, and very repetitive.  I've found this
to be true of AOL in general.  It seems to attract a certain....um... type
of user who is...'unsophisticated...'       This holds true for the SCUBA &
ham radio sections of AOL, at least...


	Now having said that, I haven't bothered to check into the SCUBA
section of AOL in several months, just because I thought it was a waste of
time, things might have improved, & you can always take AOL up on its 10
hour free trial.

	The SCUBA forums on Compu$erve & GEnie are much better than AOL, in
terms of quantity & quality.  GEnie's SCUBA RT doesn't really get into tech
diving discussions.  I've just started to get into Compu$erve's SCUBA
section, but at first glance it seems to have some technical diving
discussions.
