Dive Rite Classic wings and similarly designed wings (Halcyon explorer series, AUL, etc) wrap up and around a single cylinder when a diver using 'em is in horizontal trim. This can -and often does- trap air that isn't easily dumped, which is no fun. For warm water diving with a backplate and lightweight singles, you should really invest in a set of Halcyon 18# Pioneer wings. For cold water diving when you'll most likely be wearing more lead and/or for heavy weight singles, you should consider Halcyon 27#, 36# or 45# Pioneer wings or Dive Rite Wings Jr. (they have a tie down type feature that keeps 'em flat so they won't wrap around your tank). Hope this helps >Anyone use the classic wing for single tank diving?
