I am an Ocean Engineering major at Florida Institute of Technology and am beginning preliminary design of a small AUV. The ultimate goal of this design should have the capable of penetrating a wreck or cave system and return with complete "plans" of the system. I assume that this may be of interest to some of you and would like some input on design characteristics. Currently, "Hogarthian" simplicity is being employed to insure success. Currently, streamlining and pressure considerations are being used. Due to my minimal experience with overhead environments, I lack knowledge in the subtlities of these environments. Therefore, any advice would be appreciated. Thank You for your time. Good Day. Chris Lathan clathan@fi*.ed* -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
