I think the purpose of this list is 2 fold.  One is to discuss among us
"tech divers" experiences, configurations, and general things that work
and don't.  I think this other is to educate those who are not "tech
divers" and want information or wish to become one themselves.

I agree this horse is dead and buried.  At a minimum I think we all came
to the agreement that singles deco diving is bad, using the pony as a
regular air source is bad, not properly planning gas management is bad
and doubles are optimal.  I'll stop there cause anything else will
probably cause more postings on the subject.  I'm sure someone will
respond to this one and only make the thread longer...
