<font color=3D"#000099">
Ok Mr
Messersmith.=A0 T=
he
line i am talking about is a shotline with a heavy weight.=A0 The divers
goes down cuts the line from the weight and tie off to the wreck. Really
complicated is it not!=A0 I am sure diving the anchor line is much
better?.=A0 If you can not see the advantage with a separate ascent line
you are clearly stupid.

<font color=3D"#000000">Ok Mr Messersmith Jr.(I don't know what that
means,but if it was meant to piss me off it should make you mad as hell)
I never said that the way you now say to do it was a bad idea ,it was
what you did not say at first that makes you seem clearly lacking in
details.With so many dives you must be doing a better job on the boat
briefing than the posting.

<font color=3D"#000099">If there is current we have a second boat,
a
rib.

<font color=3D"#000000">Now you tell me there is a chase boat,things become
more clear when you tell all the details.If I were to post deco tables
for all to see and forgot to show the gas and times ,it would not
make any sense to do it ,would you dive that plan?I would not dive your
boat plan either based on the post.

<font color=3D"#000099">
We almost
never
have currents where i dive but when we do we use a second boat.=A0 I do not
dive in=A0 Jeresy
The risk of not finding our line is almost non exsitant as it is placed
on a good spot. All the wrecks that are deep that we dive are intact. If
we place the line on the bow for example how are you going to miss the
line?=A0 It is pretty basic to find the bow on the ship is it not?=A0 Could
you tell me if diving a 400 feet deep wreck how much of the 1/8 inch line
you would need and how big a bag you would need if the current is 3
mph?

<font color=3D"#000000">Some of our wrecks have no bow ,no stern,on port
,and no stbd.They are little more then pcs. on the very bottom.To plan to
send a bag from 400ft is a secondary plan and to plan to do that as
your main plan will someday bite you in the ass.I have not dive in
New Jersey either.

<font color=3D"#000099">
We had CO2
problems from swiming at depth in currents as it was
already.=A0

<font color=3D"#000000">I have had that problem myself,I let
some guys that were in charge of a dive once use a plan something
like yours ,but your detailed plan is much better , they were dumb
asses.I will go over all details before I get burn again with someone
else plan.

<font color=3D"#000099"> And to anchor on the wreck would bee hard
because of the depth but if you did and the anchor pulled during the dive
you are pretty fucked if the Jersey upline method fails.=A0 And one other
thing we could not carry all the gas recuiered for the deco as it would
bee pretty stupid to swim around on the wreck with 3 deco bottles in a
stiff current and add to that your gear of 800 feet of line and a 800ib
lift bag. We had to stage the oxygen for this reason.=A0 In the advent of
not finding the line we had gas drop stations and several saftey diver
ready and 3 chase boats=A0=A0 Please enlighten me how you would do this with
the Jersey up line method.=A0 Do you really think this is a good
way?<font color=3D"#000000">

I do not use the Jersey up line ,been there done that.It is too big and a
snag.The rotting line will get you in the end,to use any other line is
bad for the wreck,I have a better way.When it is fully tested I will
share it with everyone.I have one question what is the difference in
pulling yourself down the anchor rope in a current and doing the same
thing on your shot line?And what is the difference in decoing on an
anchor line and doing it on the permanent line to the wreck?Keep in mind
I have said nothing about the hook pulling ,lets deal with these
two details at a time.
Also I would like to talk this out and the only to do it is to stop
taking stabs at each other.I will not get into a war over something that
I may have said or something you have said.I have many dives plan for
this year and they are of a great depth and I'm not sold on any
plan,looking at many things and better ideas.Enlighten me please.
