Phi,

No I don't own any dive computers, I don't understand the damn things
- it's bad enough with the box on my desk - don't really understand
that. I can understand your point with wrecks and things, having your
depth changing and things, but I find that the tables method works
best, it also means that I spend longer in the water which is quite a
relief to my arthritis. If I spend less than 25 minutes on oxygen,
then I sometimes have trouble getting back into the boat, what with
the weight of all the cylinders and things.

I think the saying goes "You can't teach an old dog new tricks."

Regards,

Peter

Peter,

No doubt I fully agree with you on trimix or square-shape profile
dives,
tables are best. But don't you think there are instances when you dive
on a
sloppy reef, or on wrecks where you are constantly at different depths
to
explore or find artifacts, a computer gives better NDL ?

Do you cut table for every single dive you make ? And you don't own
any
computer at all ?

Phi
