Subject: Question About Dry Suit Repair
Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 21:52:54 -0500
Hi All,

Well it's time to send in my DUI CF-200 dry suit in for repair. The
first problem is I need to get the zipper replaced. After 400+ dives
it's shot! Sending it back to DUI and waiting the entire winter for =
it
to come back can easily solve this problem.

The second problem is the neck seal. The neck seal never sealed all
that good in the first place but over the years it's stretched and
really no longer fits. I end up soaked after the first dive! I know
Evelyn Duda of Duda's Diving Duds can take wrist seals and shrink them
by cutting out =BC - =BD inch and sewing and gluing it back together. =
From
what I understand people are very pleased with the results. I'd =
imagine
she could do the same with a neck seal. My neck seal is in perfect
condition and is simply too big.

I'd like to know from anyone who has experience with Duda's for neck
seals. Also, has anyone ever had a zipper replaced by her? I'd =
ideally
like to only send it to one place and have both repairs done at the =
same
time. I could possibly have both done by DUI but I'm just worried I'll
get another generic neck seal that won't fit for sh*t. Maybe I should
start standing on my head and build up those neck muscles.... :-)

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Art.
