So my wife and I had a little baby girl last week. A fellow diver comes up to me and says, "so you had a girl right?" I say yes how did you know. Well he says that he had read an article in the late 70's in which a study was done that showed that male divers who dive regularly over a certain depth are more likely to father girls then boys. Something to do with the x chromosone being made recessive from diving. He really couldn't remember the details. Well I started to think about some of the guys that I dive with and I have yet to come up with one that has any sons! Now is this coincedence? Granted it is not 100% true I am sure but has anyone read this article or am I getting my genes pulled? :) Yes I had heard that also. Well here is an exception, and I was a commercial diver at the time. The "Y" had no problem expressing it's self. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
