I agree. It's a little difficult when you're inside a 40ft high wreck. Sometimes you stay up high because you find some nice light fixtures and sometimes you go down low for other things. The same can happen when lobstering in these wrecks. Sometimes you find big ones up high which is great cause you get more bottom time but other times you're below the sand line, other times in-between... If you drew up tables that followed exactly what your plan was I agree that a good deco program like Decom will give you better bottom time. Done wrecks where I was only an average of 10 feet higher than my tables and the computer calculated a better bottom time.
