You need to set the O2 to something less than %100, This nice little bug was pointed out to me. It is punching out when it goes over 1.6 PPO2. So if you go to 20.5 ft your toast. And as you said it is the most expensive bottom timer I own. In a message dated 12/18/1998 2:33:52 PM GMT, Art.Paltz@R2*.CO* writes: << Hey, wait a minute. My Cochran Commander Nitrox is the most reliable $500 bottom timer I've ever bought!! Besides, if I do use it for a Nitrox dive and follow the profile it'll probably never get me bent, very safe! Let's see, by 30 minutes on my repetitive dive to 110FSW my Cochran was reliably telling my more then 3 hours of deco (deco gas of choice, 100%). I think it's sooo nice of them to take into consideration my well being by developing a computer that gives me an aggressive first dive profile and a REALLY safe repet..... <*grin*>. >> -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
