Damn, I've been robbed! Mine never did that. I don't care what it
displays on the bottom. If on my way up it says nothing (blank) then I
translate that into no deco and I hop right up on the boat......

	Art,
What about Mike Cochran's signature feature in his dive computer
line---the
automatic SLEEP mode, where the computer shuts it self off once
you get to
the bottom, thereby drastically increasing battery life. They
keep
threatening to do away with this feature, but from all accounts
I've heard,
its still pretty standard on all models :-)

Hey, wait a minute. My Cochran Commander Nitrox is the most
reliable
$500 bottom timer I've ever bought!! Besides, if I do use it
for a
Nitrox dive and follow the profile it'll probably never get me
bent,
very safe! Let's see, by 30 minutes on my repetitive dive to
110FSW my
Cochran was reliably telling my more then 3 hours of deco (deco
gas of
choice, 100%). I think it's sooo nice of them to take into
consideration my well being by developing a computer that gives
me an
aggressive first dive profile and a REALLY safe repet.....
<*grin*>.

		He's wearing a cochran computer.

Don't those magic carpets have deco computers of their
own?
