I'm not sure that I feel comfortable with any kit that requires that you release some straps before you can reach your hoses. Note that my orientation comes from Wreck diving. In your case, you're probably just releasing the waist strap and sliding your tanks along your back until you can reach back over your shoulder and twiddle the knobs. However, I've seen several times that people had kits where they actually had to remove their kit to get at the valves. This could be a dangerous situation if the person is in tight quarters and, therefor, couldn't remove the kit. Personally, I feel much better when my buddy can reach back over their shoulder and get at their tank (if they're using a back-mounted rig). -- Kevin --
