TG, a sharp, focused beam is need to signal and to look down corridors
and other spaces, whether they be ship of cave. The signalling is the
most important. With a flood beam, you can not see the movement of the
light. Since the human eye detects movement, creating movement is
everything in signalling.

Really suprising is the degree of effectiveness in open water in the
ocean, especially as you get deeper. We use them to scooter apart and
stay in contact even in the great vis down here in full daylight, and to
signal in all dives.

I think it is important to have gear and a rig that will go with you as
you do different dives. I wish I had found out about cave lights or
wreck lights prior to purchaing several of the hand held lights and
wasting my money.
