As usual, you do not know what you are talking about. The batteries
currently being used in DV-100, DV-3X, and Mako are a 17.2 amp.hr. battery. To
use the term 17 amp.hr. is correct. Many battery mfgs. use the label of 18
amp.hr., but they are still 17.2 as stated on the side of these batteries. To
tell people the the 17 amp.hr. has been history for some time shows how
uninformed you really are. I am sure you wanted to say the 15 amp.hr that came
with the original DV-3X has been history for a long time. People believe that
somehow you can put more amp.hr in the same size case, but that would be like
putting 22 gals. in a 20 gal. fuel tank. I have even seen batteries with 8
amp.hr. written on them that are the same size as the 7 amp.hr. batteries in
use in most primary lights. This is simply a lie. The 7amp.hr. battery is
really only 6.5 amp.hr.

I will have to agree with Barry on this one. Most of the batteries you see
out there are 17.2 amp hour. Once in a while you will get the ones stamped
with 18ah but this is not always the case. I have not been able to get
anything bigger than this for our scooters. Anyone out there no a supplier
for larger ones? I have always been told by the manufacturers that there is
not enough room to put more plates inside the battery.
