Wentland, If you cant come up with any better excuse for not using 100% as decogas = you better go figure.=20 If you know that the weather is bad and that its going to make your deco = hazardus, whay do you still consider doing the dive? Is it realy worth = getting hurt only becouse you dont know how to estimate the real and = potential risk and how to deal with it. Would it be that hard to just do your deco a bit shallower if you have = problem with high waves and worry about your changing po2? I guess I = know the aswer, you are treating your self during your deco rather than = decompressing. In the dopler ultrasonic tests I have taken part in, oxygen clearly = works better for me aswell as the deeper stops do. No bull, facts and no = personal preference made up by non active divers who does not expose = them self. my humble thoughts Richard >What happens when a 5 foot wave goes over head? >Answer: The ppO2 becomes to high 1.76 ppO2. When that same 5 foot wave = goes >overhead when at 30 feet on 80% it would give you 1.65 ppO2. Maybe if = your >doing it right you can swim up and down with the wave action? Or maybe = you >only DIR in caves where you don't have as many adverse conditions. Now = I >just mentioned a 5 foot wave, what if its 10+ which is not uncommon in = the >Northeast where the pizza stained Doria T-shirt strokes dive. > You know that if you keep putting a little more rope at the end of the = line >eventually all your problems will be over. > I would like to know what inspires a man to go deeper into a cave. Is = there >something back there really worth the ultimate sacrifice to see? Or is = it >just the hope of fame for going deeper into a cave or deeper into the = sea. >Or is this all just WKPP GOOO CRAP??? > >Good Diving by George!!!! > > >-- >Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. >Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to = `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. > -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
