John,

Incorporate them on one side first ----

Primary reason is cylinders are marked properly -- partner only has to
look on one side to check your proper gas, Its part of a system that is
easy to identify. A secondary reason that I belive is that primary
regulators come over your right shoulder --- regulator on the right ---
anything else should come from the left.

I stack o2 on the bottom and teach it that way too. The more people who
begin to start using stack and standard tank markings and tank position the
better we will be.

As for your students -- no need to over task load them --- just give them
long dives in shallower water where they have time to work out the skills.
Anything less than 60 minutes bottom time is really not usefull IMHO -- 90
minutes is better --- take advantage of no-stop EAN dives for this --- with
time on thier side -- its not a load -- its just tasks to perform. IF the
time is short it becomes a task load.

also -- any tech diver candidate --- (and that is to be the correct term)
needs to show proficiency in shallow water before moving deeper.
Unfortunatley there are too many instructors out there who are still too
green at general scuba training who are attempting technical training ...
it sure would be nice to have instructors out there who have done more than
one or two open water classes before jumping into tech training.

Anyway --- just put them on the left -- let them learn that way.
