On the 1 year anniversary of the Trimix Web Site, I'd like to thank all the supporters and especially the contributors to the site. I have lost count as to the total number of hits the site has received so far, but we do average 700-800 hits a day from around the world, sometimes peaking upwards of 1500 hits. Pretty good, considering how small the community of tech divers is. The site started out as a 10 page general info site and has expanded to well over a hundred pages of good, solid info available free to anybody who has a browser and an interest in technical diving. I have enjoyed creating this site as it has taught me tons about mixed gases, technical diving, web site management and human nature. And to my detractors and nay-sayers, once again I give you a hearty and well deserved Phhiiiiiiiitttt! (you know who you are). There are a couple of additions to the site in the past few days. I have added a link to Henrik Carlsen's very nice "Swiss army knife" of a air mixing program and to an article on solo diving by Alex Brylske. And for those who are feeling inadequate due to a lack of spring straps on your fin's, there is now a page on Imitation Oceanic Spring Heel Straps - By David Dalton, Sr. & Jr., Thanks, Dave(s) You will learn how to make Oceanic spring straps using a hockey puck, no shit! Just click on the "whats new" button to get more information. As always I invite any articles, "how-to's" or links which would add to the Trimix Sites knowledge base. In Dave's case he mailed me the pictures which I scanned in and added to his text. If anyone has any articles or clippings which have good tech-oriented information, let me know, I can OCR them into the site. Interesting historical data or articles on the early use of Helium or other mixed gases would be of interest too. Enjoy!
