Towing with a scooter while gas sharing with a diver whose scooter is > broken down Lotion boy already covered this: you either pass the dead scooter to the third team member and the out of air diver gets YOUR SCOOTER and you get towed by him, or you ditch the dead scooter (if in a two man team) and give the out of air diver the working scooter and the donor gets towed, or if both scooters are fine the out of air diver keeps his scooter, the donor puts his in towing position, and gets towed out (that way if the ooa divers scooter dies he can then take the other still functioning scooter). I realize you don't go scootering much in caves since you seem to only come up to teach basic cave divers, so this might still be new to you, but it's really pretty basic. Yes, it's a change from how people thought 15 years ago, but then again people used to believe half+200 was the way to go too.
