Back a few years ago when I was first certified, 1977, there was a harassment night. On this night you got to swim around the pool buddy breathing (no long hoses, octopuses, spare airs, or ponies, and horse collar BC's) with a painted out mask. During this time you both had your air turned off repeatedly, mask flooded, 2nd stage pulled away, nets thrown over you, and some ass hole with a rod and reel, 25 lb test line and 16 oz weight trying to snag you (no hooks at least). It certainly gave you a taste of what North East diving could be like in a controlled pool. By the way there were 2-3 other divers with you and your buddy at all times during those 15 minutes.
