Yes, I had a similar problem.  The center piece on one of my buckles broke out.
Halcyon sent me a new one under warranty, but I have not had a chance to put it
on yet.

It may have broken just because I tightened it down too hard.  But if stainless
steel buckles were available instead I think that would be a lot more reliable.
