Actually I just recently purchased the UK D8 and am extremely happy with it.
It replaced a comparable Pelican.  I have been very happy with it although I
should have purchased the rechargeable model.  The battery's 8d's altogether
last about 30 hours of ontime so if you are doing a lot of night diving id
suggest the rechargeable
