John,

Contrary to your rhetorical statement, nobody is suggesting that you
make your own gear. Yes, a few people are squabbling. So what is new
about that? Petty squabbling is a fact of life on these forums.
After a while you learn to ignore those squabbles that are not amusing.

Bottom line: most of us in the WKPP really don't care who makes the
gear as long as it is faithful to the design and is made from quality
material.
