Bill Mee already debunked the horrific set of disjointed nonsense that Richie put out on the near death at Madison with regard to the rebreathers, but we have a few items that I just have to point out as they are so misrepresented that they need to be brought to light. 1) Isler. Isler has no divers from his project who are with the usdct, maybe a towel boy or two, but no divers. Everyone in France says they are with Isler - is is like being a Navy Seal in France. Olivier Isler thinks Stone is an "idiot", just as I do. He told me so in front of witnesses in New Orleans, and was so intent on me understanding his French that he had Jean Pierre Imbert translate it to English so he was sure I got it. "Idiot" is the word he used, in French and in English. "Idiot". 2) Dry suit "neck squeeze" - this is the worst bullshit since the Ian Rolin death. Are we sure it was not diabetes again? When lying, shilling, and making up crap, try to be consistent. The guy would have dropped from the drysuit squeeze in the parking lot, not hours later in the water. If these big time divers even owned their own drysuit, which they do not, this could not even be used as an exucuse - you guys are pathetic. I am calling bullshit on this one. 3) It was "rebreather squeeze" - Rebreather Squeeze is where you try to squeeze years of diving experience into a three day clusterfreak wtih 23 strokes using seven rebreathers two weeks before the big time "project" is supposed to start. Only an "Idiot" like Bill Stone would even try this. Also, if you want a great laugh, see the smoking that Menduno did of Stone in his article. He has Stone claiming he can go "ten miles", and calls our methods "siege exploration". Stone is so stupid, so in the dark, and such a complete "Idiot" that he can not figure out what we do. He criticizes my safety proceedures, and is so ignorant as to put in writing and prove just how absolutely clueless he really is, and justifies my total contempt for him. I have zero repsect for this poser, and my refusal to deal with him is totally justified by what this "idiot" says in this article. Just for everyone's edification, we put those safety bottles in in ONE DIVE, while exploring on that dive, and we can do it on scuba, and know it, and have done it, and carry FOUR HUNDRED cubic feet of gas on us at all times in addition to our "seige bottles": enough to go 12,000 feet at least, not counting the bottles. If you want to see severe lack of skill, see the Wakulla project video where Stone is faking a scene with a jump reel laying line, and is hoovering his gas so badly that is looks like his tank blew up - no wonder he thinks it can not be done with scuba - he can't dive. You have to see my quotes in there - they are better than the stuff in Deep Tek, and the quotes from Bill Mee about Stone's "technology" being better suited to kitchen appliances will have you howling. Menduno got him with both barrels in this one, and used his own words to do it. The fact is we did 18 G's in one day and I drove home after the dive. Stone needs 3 months and is already making excuses, and his whole crew only wants to see the cave before they quit, or die. By the way, who has scooters or rebreathers on this project besides King ? Nobody. The sad part is that anyone who wanted to see this cave could have with us the right way if they only did what we all did - show up and help. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
