I'd like to thank everyone for their responses....to set the record straight, I currently use aviator's O2 for O2, Nitrox, and Trimix, that I buy from the one distributor who will sell it to be with no hassle. It's just that medical O2 would be cheaper and that's why I'd like to switch. I know a large percentage of people use welding O2, and that at the distributor, it all comes from the same place but I prefer to play it safe when it's my ass on the line!!! Maybe a call to the FDA would clarify the policy and give me a leg to stand on with respect to dealing with the distributors. Thanks again....Al > > >We at NOAA have circumvented the prescription problem with stickers on O2 tanks >that say "for emergency use only when administered by properly trained personnel >for oxygen deficiency and resuscitation.
