Since we're discussing the cost of fills, I've got a question regarding
purchasing O2 from a gas distributor.  We have two main distributors in 
town
and both claim I need a medical prescription to buy USP O2.  One wouldn't
even sell me Aviator's O2 but the other would!  They both claim the FDA
recently cracked down on O2 sales and required records.  When asked about
welding O2, they said "no problem".  I asked what the difference was and
they said it all came from the same place, it only differed in how many 
times
they pulled a vacuum on the tank prior to filling, and record keeping.

So my question is, has anyone else had a hassle getting usp O2 without a
prescription??
