But hearing other's > prices, this seems WAY high!) Case: Here in Juneau Alaska, Channel Dive Center charges $10 for single fills of EAN32 and $4.50 for single fills of air. However, they sell fill cards worth 15 fills for $100 and $45, respectively, so if you buy fill cards, the cost for EAN32 comes out to $6.67/fill and $3 for air. All the local divers have fill cards, only the tourists by gas per fill. Channel has one of those new DNAx membrane fill systems and generally only keep banks of EAN32 ready to go but will do EAN36. They don't distinguish between size of tank. A single, regardles of size is 1 punch, doubles, regardles of size is 2 punches. I don't see how oxygen can be any more expensive in Key West than Juneau Alaska. You know about Juneau, you've lived here. Gas cylinders are shipped up 1,000 miles from Seattle via barge. I just picked up three of the big (330 cf?) medical O2 cylinders from the local gas supplier and they cost $67/ea. Cylinder rental is $7.50/mo with a 10% discount for 6 mo rental and 15% discount for 1 year rental. -Kent -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
