cap, another way of dealing with this is to have one or more crew members assist the diver at there time of need ([.e. climbing the ladder). we do this all the time. we try not to make it a big deal -anyone under the right (or wrong ) water conditions can use a hand. there is nothing to be embarased about. some boats have easier water exits than others & the harder the exit the more help should be available. remember job is to get them to the site & back- assisting them on the surface is aour responcibility. doing less is not meeting our own standards. capt hank In a message dated 8/31/98 9:18:14 PM Pacific Daylight Time, CaptnDale@ao*.co* writes: << The reason the diver had to remove her equipment was that she was tired and unable to climb back onto the boat with all of that weight on. She simply was unfamiliar with this type of equipment. Ineptitude and ignorance can be fixed with experience and training. Good diving, Cpt.
