I would just like to add this tip. If the boat is tied in by the bow it is
going to swing at the stern. If you drop a line in this manner, be sure to
give plenty of slack, especially if there is any current or wave action moving
the boat around. 

I alos think its a good idea if you travel and you need a prescription mask
like I do, to carry a spare. I have two masks in my gear milk crate, one for
diving and one as back up.  If I ever get to the point where i carry a spare
mask with me on my dives, I will carry three masks in the box.
