I don't agree. Wrolf is irritating, and everybit as lacking in tact as some
of the more acomplished stars of this list. But his incessant questioning
has brought a lot of new information onto this list, and allowed a lot of
old misinformation to be corrected, even if the process is a little brutal
on him.

Nor do I subscribe to your oft-repeated "anyone who states an opinion here
about diving different than mine is guilty of murder". That's a cheap way
to try to escalate the stakes, so you can villify those you don't agree
with rather than trying to respond to what they are saying.

You keep seem to be trying to make a religion out of DIR - an authoritarian
hierarchical structure with Dan Volker as high priest. In previous posts
you've already rediscovered such traditionally religous doctrines as Papal
infallibility, apostasy, demonization, and now you seem to be nibbling at
excommunication. Even George (whose position in your pantheon I'll let
folks on this list figure out for themselves) doesn't take it that far. You
are the only one here is constantly taking it upon yourself to tell people
what they can and can't discuss here.

People - especially those who follow this list - aren't the impressionable,
blind sheep you seem to think they are, and one dumb word isn't going to
undo a hundred wise ones. I believe net discussions to be largely self
correcting, as the dumb stuff gets rightly stomped on, right in the open
where everyone can see it happen - and that free discussion is more
condusive to safety in the long run than trying to control what is posted
so only the currently dominant view is represented.
