Subject: Re: The noise level and misdirection
Your answers to your questions, and more, await your bothering to write up an
interesting and topical report on the origin of the various practices making up
the Hogarthian rigging style.

I am giving you until 2400hrs, Wed Aug 26th, to either put up, or shut up, or
start negotiating - e.g. if you are incapable of addressing this topic, and need
an alternative sentence.

But you ripped me once. Don't expect sympathy if you do not at least come up
with, say, "Dive Facilities where IWR is practiced, with full surface supplied
gasses and support, in Australia."

BTW, I believe that debate continues on whether Computer Science is a branch of
Mathematics, Engineering, or what. Examples, I am a software engineer (a
subdiscipline of CS), and WWWebster gives software engineering as an example of
the use of the term engineering. Yet as John Rose points out, every other
undergraduate engineering program is accredited by ABET, only CS has its own
(which was a little after my time).

My wife laughs every time I describe myself as an engineer, and talks about
putting light bulbs in. Like I say, opinions vary.

But here's what I want to know. You can either reply or not, such
is your choice.

Billy, you have not written any of the major texts in the fields, nor
performed any direct research. You are not the director of a major,
nor even a minor, training agency. You have substantially less than
twenty years with the special forces of your country, or underwater
demolitions, or other diving operations. (All of this is hypothetical,
of course.)

My question is not "what gives you the right...". I already know the
answer to that.

But rather, why do you not believe in your own right to free speech?

And why do you not believe in all the men and women, of America,
Britain, and Australia, who died beneath the waves, fighting for your right?

Confused? See http://home.vicnet.net.au/~victorp/vcontent.htm#Part2.
