Rich, > My best guess is that they will achieve their goal, which is a 3-D map. That is a very general statement. This is the type of thing that card readers and palm readers do all the time. How about going out on a limb and being a little more specific in your prognistication. After all, I can produce a 3-D map right here on my Sun workstation without ever getting wet. Certainly, with his group of players, I can imagine how Bill Stone might choose that as his goal. If he really is concerned with safety, that is probably his only hope. I think that you would have gotten different responses had you originally ask the question: What happes if Stone is able to produce a genuine 3-D map of a couple thousand feet of the main cave? Even here, I have it admit that I am severely skeptical, given the band of vagrants and known nonperformers that he has for a team. You can very well believe that every member of the WKPP fervently hopes that W2 does not have any trouble or excuse for failure other than the fact that you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. You see, we are tired of Stone's excuses and no-shows. Let them have their circus and then leave town. I wish them good luck and a safe but brief project. -John -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
