Jan, I tried talking "nice" with Wrolf. His replies were polite, but he continued adding more dangerous misdirection and obsfucation to the list with each ensueing post, along with doing his best to "remake" George "in his own image". George does not need to be "remade" the way Wrolf wants him to be. Period. I also tried being polite with Tom Mount, but he does not get it. He has been unwilling to wake up to his poor standardiztion as being the root of mounting death tolls in IANTD dive accidents. Nice is too easy to ignore. When people start dying, you don't have a mild mannered tea party---you have war. You might not like war, but enough deaths demand full scale retaliation against the perpetrators. If you have not noticed, the tech list is embroiled in deaths on a scale never seen before in diving. For years, behind the seen, "nice" , was attempted. "Nice" has done very little. Ask the widows of John Claypool or Mike Elkins if they would like us to talk "NICE" to Tom Mount ( each was killed by IANTD lack of standards, this allowing proceedures and gear configurations by a "top" IANTD instructor, which ultimately caused the death of these two men, this being obvious in the minds of anyone with a shred of understanding in tech issues). Ask the family of Jane Orenstein, who died a horrible death due to standards and negligent instructor issues---would they like us to talk, "NICE"??? Ask Jane's boyfriend, Alan Pelstring, who is on this list....Ask him where "nice" belongs. "Nice" is not for rapists, child molestors, murderers, or career criminals---and it is not for the more dangerous members of the tech diving world either.
