Kevin - I was just going through the details on various o-ring materials
from Eriks (who manufacture them).  They clearly state that only Silicone is
suitable for hyperbaric oxygen use.  They do not recommend viton for this
purpose.  I would imagine that the people who actually make, test and sell
these know more than compressor manufacturers, cylinder manufacturers,
commercial gas suppliers, haz mat data sheets, trade publications, medical
equipment suppliers, lab equipment reps, military manuals, government
publications, etc. etc.

But then that's just my view,
