Nope. Fortunately I was able to get confirmation directly from George
Irvine, which he simultaneously broadcast (or technically, multicast),
on various Internet forums.

It was only relevant because of the apparent hypocrisy of his attacks on
others, including unsubstantiated and probably untrue ones.

I have not published yet - so far I have only been asking questions.
And getting answers.

Brett seemed to flip out at George over George's slamming of Rob Palmer
for deep air. Rob Palmer was unable to respond at the time, being
rather preoccupied with being dead.

As far as I know, George's postings attacking deep air and other
questionable practices of TDI long predated Rob Palmer's death or any
action against George by Brett or TDI. And quite frankly, Brett's
personal account of how he got mad at George rings true to me.

For what it is worth, I think that George's overall position on deep air
is correct. As are most of them, when it is about diving. He seems to
me to be lamentably behind the times though, I think that Tom Mount and
Brett Gilliam in "Mixed Gas Diving" alerted us to the idea that there
was an alternative to deep air even for the 130' to 200' range. And
then of course the "Wah-Wah" articles in AquaCorps really drove it home
to us all in a more practical way, including that diving experience, or
industry prominence, did not make you immune.

Pretty good. How about "Technically Dead Instructors"? We could throw
in "Instructor And No one That Dives"! Anyone got any more? (Though
check first on http://www.concentric.net/~Wrolf/scuba_slang.shtml, I
already have plenty of PADI and NAUI ones.)
