Subject: THE IMPORTANCE OF AN ACCURATE BODY COUNT
Clearly, it is becoming increasingly important to keep an accurate body
count in tech and rebreather diving. In that regard, could we plese get
everyone who has lost a relative , or who knows of such a loss to again
list them on here so we can do a recount. Apparently this is a big issue
with certain folks who are very upset with me for talking about it, and
it seems I have my numbers wrong. We can not have this innaccuracy any
longer, we need a good, accurate, confirmed BODY COUNT, like they used
to have every night on the news during the Viet Nam war.

In the meantime, let it suffice to say that in my opinion, if the
sensors on your rebreather are downstream of the scrubber, it is not a
matter of "if" you are going to have a serious problem, it is a matter
of "when". The "when" is usually a function of the time it takes for you
to come to believe that everything is ok for a longer dive. Putting a
hydrophobic membrane there makes no diff - the vapor will recondense
behind that ( Phsyics 101 ).

Tomorrow we will discuss why, children, and then we will go into how
software errors compound this problem, and we will then go into the
mysteries of "why an oxygen sensor appears to read steady when gas is
BLOWN on it, but then goes back to bad readings when it is at ambient".
Stay tuned for a complete discussion of the real story, despite the
continuous effort to block that information by "the usual suspects", the
ones with th FABULOUS track records.

By the way, the MK 15 , 16, etc do not have the sensors downstream ,
now do they? What machines do ? Let's be sure to be very accurate here,
no false body counts, no misinformation, please. We do not want to upset
those wonderful people who have spent the last forty years trying to
tell us that you can turn piss into champagne. Drink up.
