When I say "get some of my money back" this refers to the fact that I have put so much into producing these things for the Project that there is no way to ever get my money back. I have too many, and more on the way. We did not expect the caves to go down this soon, and were geared up for a lot of diving. I had spares of spares, and enough scooters for everyone for the long dives in case anything broke. We have other needs right now, and as I said, I have a steady production of these devices , so can replace them later. The "price break" on scooters I have used is that I do not charge 10 grand for them, which is a 1/10 th of what Jim King will pay for one after he gets about 2000 feet into Wakulla and his forgieries don't cut it. These are not production dive shop items, they are custom personal dive gear that has one purpose only , and must be treated with care and carefully. If you want a rough and tough scooter, call Arnie Jackson. We keep ours in air conditioning and in little bed-like cradles . They must have music to listen to - either music played by my band, or by Tool, Metallica, C.O.C., or equivalent. No disco, no country, no strokes. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
