I've seen mention of drysuit "gaitors" (various
other spellings as well) as a means of preventing
too much gas collecting in drysuit legs and boots.
I've never seen these, and wonder if someone would
be kind enough to answer these questions:
1 - how do they work?
2 - do they affect the insulation value of the
suit and/or undergarments in any way?
3 - how are they properly sized and adjusted?
4 - why would I need them?
