In keeping with previous subscibers:

Hi to all on the list. I have been looking for just such a forum for a long
time now and hopefully you should be able to shed some light on a few matters.

All of my diving is in the UK, out of an inflatable, on wrecks in the 30-60m
range. I'm very careful of what I say, because I am part of a BSAC club but
dive privately with a regular team of three. The BSAC do not agree with what
we do, (nor understand it!). For this reason I must be very carefull as any
information learned by the club could be very harmfull to our diving.

My main interests are deepish wrecks on the South Coast of England and the
North coast of Cornwall. Turn of the century merchantmen and naval vessels
are especialy interesting. I am currently using Air with O2 stops - nitrox
is not yet easily available where I want to dive!.

Hopefully this forum will answer a range of questions which are 'hushed up'
by the BSAC here. I'll open with a couple of questions:

1) Oxygen compatible equipment. We currently use an old scubapro first stage
with a number of second stages and take-offs for in-water O2 stops. We have
done nothing to the kit other than extend the hoses with commercial O2 pipe.
We have experienced no problems with this setup. None of the second stages
show any signs of problems - although I understand that the O-rings (neoprene)
will age quicker in O2 than in air. Would anybody like to tell me that what
I'm doing is imposible/wrong/foolish?

2) Currently using the Buhlmann/Hahn tables (0-250m) but restricted to 63m and
fairly limited bottom/stop time. Does anyone have more info on these tables/
algorithms which would let me extend these limits? These tables suit our
style of diving in terms of stops and conservatism - any other 'similar' tables
which would suit our needs?

3) Is this a suitable forum for UK wreck divers to get together and 'exchange'
wreck information? The info/experience I have must be a valuable source of
information to someone else planning to dive these wrecks (I would also benefit
from some info).

Rgrds
