Subject: diving deaths Doria, WPB, in the pool, or elsewhere
The ultimate responsibility lies on the diver. Please don't tell me that one
of you out there ( whether you are an Irvine "Zombie diver" or a Gilliam
"pizza diver" or a Mount "in between" ) didn't read and understand the risks
of technical diving before you did it. Come on I'm virtually a newbie to this
game but have read at least a dozen books on the subject, and I hate to read.
Sure we rely on our instructor or mentor to guide us in the right direction,
but no one with 1/2 a brain follows anyone in to an oncoming bus.

All this blaming of the instructor or agency is a lot of rubbish. the fact is
that instructors teach by standards. If any of you could find fault in the
standards then that agency, I'm sure would be out of business by now. The
fact is you cannot and you want to point fingers for one of two reasons. One,
you have an agenda which is helped by discrediting others (Irvine and the
WKPP) or you want to think it can't happen to you because you know better ( if
the shoe fits)

The fact is I personally Know WKPP members, I Know where they get fills, And I
doubt they would ever say a negative thing about the TDI instructor who runs
the shop they frequent.

If I die doing a tech dive tomorrow it's not because I took a class from a TDI
instructor or because I don't run 10 miles a day. It is because I fucked up
or because the odds caught up to me.

If the families of dead diver's can't handle the fact that their loved ones
were involved in a life threatening sport then that is the problem. Not the
Agency the instructor or a bunch of self serving wanker heads.

Thank You For your time
