I have never advocated that ib be a FREE ASCENT if you lose your buddy. I think if you have taken it upon yourself to BUDDY up with someone you should 1.Look around for them if you get seperated. 1a. You might find them entangled and need to help free them. 2. Look around for them after you notice them missing for 1 minute. 3. While you make a Slower than normal looking around ascent to the surface. You might have to lose some of your dive but it is not meant to be a "Panic Attack ascent", nor would I thionk you would be "Floundering arounds on the surface. The term "Dive Gods" is bewildering. Are they the ones that are always bitching that their way is the only way and that their equipment is the only kind that seerves a useful purpose? Gee whiz! I'll bet you flame me with this answer. Have a nice day! Dive Safe---with or wiothout a buddy-or friend. Tim -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
