Will, I now notice that you have graduated from an amusing and eager cavern student and technical diving dillatante to the full blown Party Line of the Admiral of the Fleet of Battleship Mouths and Rowboat Asses This is the only person I know of who would say something as ridiculous as what you just said about "30 hour bottom times". Will, the usdct could not even "party" for thirty hours . This kind of mindless extrapolation of tidbits of reality into the willowly blurr of fantasy is the domain of the Admiral, and his Bootboy. I guess they are your new mentors, and you have heard from them that mean ole George won't let these idiots near him. That's right, and it is this kind of pie in the sky nonsense and disregard for reality that explains that so well. This is what they tell people who know nothing about our sport so they can get in to interfere with us. They will accomplish nothing. They will kill people doing so. My opinion. You don't like it, too bad. Thier childlike fantasies may be real interesting to you and others who do not know the difference, but to me they spell tragedy. Will , I have been there and back more times than you have been diving, and I will be proven right. Why do you thing these people do absolutely nothing anywhere, anytime, ever? They are all "last picks", like when we were kids and they chose up sides for pickup football games - those guys were the last ones picked, only it is worse than that. Many of them are the ones we will not allow to dive with us, or have expelled from our organization, or who are such known strokes that the subject never gets broached. My guys are the ones we argued over picking as kids, and then everyone else wanted to be on their team, since their presence meant an automatic win. In other words, we are the opposite of the Fleet in every respect. I guess they heard that in SAT diving, divers stay down for days. They do - in the habitat. They do not work for thirty hours, they work for a handfull and get back in the belland sleep. Can't do that in a cave, Twelve Inch, you have to go back where you started, and even the Admiral does not really think he could cave dive and sleep. The reality of cave diving so far escapes you , but we all understand since you are just taking your fist course. The really scarey thing is that you got this crap from the Fleet, and one would think they should know better - they do not. These same idiots wanted to drill a hole in the cave so they would not have to get their little pink toes cold decoing up to the bell. How are wimps and misfits like this going to do any big bottom times? When any one of them does his first 30 MINUTE bottom time in deep water, we will be amazed. This is not Eagles Nest, Ginnie Springs, or Dos Pendejos - it is Tallahassee. Will, we have 100 guys . We have 10 or so that even WANT to do anything like what we do to get the job done because there are no others who will take the beating, and every one of these guys , other than myself , Bill Mee, and Rat are 30 or younger while ten year veterans of hard core cave diving in Leon Sinks. We have had a solid 30 people drop back from doing these dives . The Fleet has no idea what they are in for in that place, or how complex and nasty it really is. Am I making this look too easy? We will see what happens. By the way, my "yokel" Florida lawyer ( s ) - yes , you got two of them on that brilliant call ( two are working on that case ) are not happy with you. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
