Try Newark electronics (catalog electronics sales) www.newark.com 1998 catalog has batteries (Tadirian lithium 3.6 V high capacity) on page 9, stock # 50F1559 for tabbed version. They also have the potting material, stock # 00Z716 on page 161. Problem is you have to buy a lb. & it's pretty $$. I used a different 2 part potting compound that I already had, it worked fine. Whatever you use, be sure it's a 2 part RTV type potting compound for electronics. 1 part RTVs will never cure and if it's not for electronics it may be conductive and short the battery. Also, if you can get access to one, an evacuation chamber is useful here. Mix up the goop, put it in the chamber under vacuum for a few minutes to remove any air from the goop. Then pot the battery compartment. (Please don't put the computer in the chamber!!!) Hope this helps -Tom Dennis Glover wrote: > > All, > > I need some recommendations or pointers for potting > material and battery sources (3.6 v lithium w/tabs) > to service a USD M2. > > Thanks in advance, > > Dennis > > _____________________________________________________________________ > Dennis Glover, Research Scientist > Applied Research Laboratories, University of Texas at Austin > glover@ar*.ut*.ed* W(512)835-3109 H(512)267-7701 F(512)490-4254 > -- > Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. > Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
