Bill, have you ever noticed that the only people who die on
reabreathers are British? That is because these people are the only ones
who have the nerve to do real dives with them, and this explains why the
usdct is always so desperately seeking idiots or Brits to dive, as
demonstrated by their last appearance at Wakulla with a "who's who " of
some of the worst mutants in the game. No rebreathers however - the
mutants are too dumb to work it, and there were no Brits. 

  This whole affair reminds me of the scene from "Indiana Jones" ( the
one with the Arc of the Covenant). The bad guy kept sending his "troops"
into the booby-trapped cave to get killed. In the current version of
this story, the "troops" will be carrying their own booby traps, a cruel
twist. 

  The fact is that everyone in the electronic rebreather game relies on
a lack of knowledge ( either their own or their prsopective customers')
to keep this fantasy alive . Just think back to discussions on this list
of simple topics that these guys don't get. Now give them an electronic
rebreather.
