Well, we just had another death on an electronic rebreather. That is three lately. Does anyone want to talk about this, are are we going to continue to keep a Mafia-like "code of silence" to protect the desparate hope of every misfit out there that they too can dive like the fishes while not sleeping with them. I think it is time the WKPP hold a discussiion with the park on letting the usdct go into that cave using electronic rebreathers. Here is the problem: to do the body recoveries, we are going to have to reinstall our equipment. I am not leaving it in there, and am not taking off from work to get these guys out. I am also going to be extremely pissed off if our long term project is in any way fouled up by these pretenders. At what point does reality mean something? At what point does the bird in the hand look better than the bird in the bush? At what point does reality mean something? The reality is that electronic rebreathers are the single most dangerous piece of dive equipment ever dreamed up , and it is about time that somebody takes note of the fact that the best in the business will not dive them, and nobody in their right mind would dive them in a cave. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
