I reported in rec.scuba the recent fatal shark attack by a white pointer
on a diver at Byron Bay.  There were 6 others in the water at the time,
all near the mooring, with at least one of them with the unfortunate diver
at the 3m stop.

Naturally, those other divers are asking 'why him and not me?', the shark
having swum straight past some of them as it attacked.  It seems that the 
victim had a contents gauge with an audible low air alarm which was sounding,
and some people are conjecturing this as a possible attractor for the shark.
