Well, my point was that the DIR system does not accommodate singles, even 
with a Y or H valve, so if you have a jacket BC, keep it until you can 
raise the shekels to do it right.

I have a mini-wing single setup myself, but there is no huge advantage to 
it if you already have a jacket style BC. If you are starting out with 
nothing Trader Johns is selling Halcyons Bat Wings for $160. As a matter 
of fact Trader Johns has the whole Halcyon lineup at deep discounts.

The jacket style is used successfully by thousands of no-deco divers so 
the system does work. 

But if you want to do deco you need to DIR.

I dove an H-valve setup exactly twice before I realized that it was a 
bogus rig. Now I carry a small stage with me if I need a backup with a 
single tank. I don't do deco with a single tank.
