>IANTD was looking pretty good and TDI >was running up the score. My IANTD technical deep and technical gas classes were a total joke. I had already been going pretty deep for about five years on my local favorite wrecks but decided to finally get the two tech certs just to make it official. Why not - always lloking to learn and better ways to set up my rig, right ?? It was a typical fast-get-your-money-in and get-through-the-diving as quick as you can and can-you-read-this-text-at-home and oh-ya-take-home-final type of class. I finally downloaded of copy of the "IANTD Standards March 12, 1998" and read the rules after the fact. And the cherry on the sunday was never got the c-card and the instroketer ( who shall remain nameless ) is no where to be found. Now I'm interested in a Trimix course and probably have to take the classes again. It really blew my mind and that is exactly why I stopped teaching for dive shops. I think we all know why recreational and technical divers are inhaling saltwater on a regular basis, don't we ?? And I am saying this as a PADI/NAUI/DAN instuctor who REALLY loves to dive and REALLY loves to teach. My two cents. Kevin " You'll never miss the water, until the well runs dry . . ..
