Nick: >Um, what is wrong with discussing this stuff in rec.scuba? Does >anyone have any problems with my gatewaying this list (one way) into >rec.scuba? I think the problem is that Technical Diving discussions evoke too many 'flame wars' among the general Rec.scuba readership on whether any such activity should even exist. Unfortunately, much recreational diver training is presented in absolutes; you must NOT go below 130 ft., you must NOT do decompression diving, etc. Rec.scuba has been filled with endless discussion of just these two subjects. This list should be a place that everyone accepts the basic premise of Technical Diving as an legitimate pursuit. Should be an excellent forum for exchanging much empiricially-learned technical information. Me? Call me Nitrox, mixed gas etc. 'curious'. I'm an active U/W photographer who's did research diving when back in Grad school. Happy Diving, Mike
