In what way would you hold the Dive Boat accountable ?? Checking C cards ?? Doing a check out dive in a quarry with every customer before we take them on a boat?? Holding their hand on the entire dive ?? The boat is there to provie transportation. They can also provde help in an emergency. While the boat has a moral resopsibility to help it's divers. Why should it be a legal respsibility ?? It is like suing the bus company & driver because you had a hearyt attack on the bus & the driver could not save your life. The boat and bus shuld be resopnsible to give you a safe & comfortable ride to your destination. What you do once you get there is YOUR responsibility. If you take a city bus into a bad neighbor hood, get off the perfectly safe bus and get mugged on the street could you blame the bus driver ?? All in All we boat Captains try to do our best to above & beyond transportation to help people. We all have a Boats full list to keep away the trully scary divers. I always told my family if there are no prop mars on my body don't sue anyone. I live to dive. If I die diving, though unfortunate to those left behind, I died doing what I wated to, and loved best. That is the price you pay to be free and choose your own way in this world. I think that I shall die on the highway rushing to get to a dive boat such is life.
