Or, just slap the wings and single tank on a backpack, as sold by any
number of companies. In the days of horsecollar BCs they were
standard, and you can get them for $5 with the harness at junk stores.
Any brand wings will work with these backpacks.

I've tried using cam straps on a backplate/wings combination
that had provision for that method, and found the result to
be less than satisfactory. The cylinder wasn't stable enough IMO.
I acquired an OMS single-cylinder adaptor, and find that to be
much more to my liking. Similar devices are made by Dive-Rite
and Halcyon, I think the cost is around $65. A home-built
version can be just as good if done right. Have a look at one
of the commercially made units for guidance.
